Get to Know the Apple Cinema Display

Widescreen Wonders
The widescreen Apple Cinema Display line offers a natural format for arranging documents the way your brain processes them — longer wide than high. So you can easily fit palettes, timelines, extra windows and more right in your viewing area. Still not enough? The exceptionally narrow bezel lets you use multiple displays together seamlessly.
Color-Coordinated
All Apple Cinema Displays match the sculpted aluminum enclosures of
the Mac Pro, Power Mac G5, MacBook Pro and PowerBook. Apple
designers carefully chose this hue to minimize interference with
color onscreen, providing a neutral reference point for viewing your
work. To accentuate the clean, uncluttered look, a single cable
extends from the back of the display and carries all the signals for
graphics input, power and port connections.
Effortless Adjustment
The smooth-motion hinge on your Apple display requires very little
pressure to tilt the monitor to a different position. This design
allows you to view the adjust the display from a -5° to a +25° angle
to suit the need of different users.
VESA-compliant MountingEnjoy the flexibility to place your display anywhere and adjust it effortlessly. The optional VESA mount lets you choose any VESA-compliant mounting solution: put it in a kiosk, mount it on a wall, swivel it around via an articulating arm and more.

Peripheral Vision
Your Apple display includes two FireWire 400 ports and a
self-powered, two-port USB 2.0 hub. So you can easily connect a
printer, scanner, camcorder, iPod or other peripheral without taking
up any of the ports on your computer. And to secure your display,
you can attach a Kensington lock to the security port built into the
back.
Dual-Link DVI
At 2560 x 1600 resolution, the 30-inch Cinema HD Display requires
dual-link DVI connectivity. Dual-link support is standard on the
MacBook Pro, 15-inch and 17-inch PowerBook G4 and each configuration
of the Mac Pro and Power Mac G5. The advanced NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500
and ATI Radeon X1900 XT graphics options for the Mac Pro even drives
the ultimate creative canvas: two 30-inch Cinema HD Displays,
delivering over 8 million pixels.
